Claude Code, Cursor & more

Connect Toolies to terminals, code editors and any client that supports remote MCP servers.

Toolies is a standard remote MCP server over HTTP with OAuth sign-in. There is no API key, client ID or secret to set up: the client registers itself and you sign in with your Toolies account in the browser.

Claude Code#

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http toolies https://toolies.social/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code, choose toolies and sign in in the browser window that opens. Add --scope user to use Toolies in every project.

Cursor#

Add Toolies to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):

~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "toolies": { "url": "https://toolies.social/mcp" }
  }
}

Toolies then appears in Cursor Settings → MCP; select it to sign in.

VS Code#

.vscode/mcp.json
{
  "servers": {
    "toolies": { "type": "http", "url": "https://toolies.social/mcp" }
  }
}

Start the server from the file and sign in when VS Code asks.

Any other client#

Any assistant or editor that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth works: add https://toolies.social/mcp and sign in when it asks. The technical details are in For developers.
