Fixes for the most common problems when connecting or using an AI assistant.
Toolies doesn’t show up in my chat#
Turn it on for the conversation: in Claude, + → Connectors; in ChatGPT, + → More.
The sign-in page says the link isn’t valid#
Remove Toolies from your assistant and add it again with the exact URL https://toolies.social/mcp, ending in /mcp.
Toolies asks me to finish setting up my account#
Confirm your email and complete the workspace setup in Toolies, then connect from your assistant again.
The assistant says the connection is read-only#
You approved it without Allow changes, or your role in that workspace is Viewer. Disconnect Toolies in your assistant’s connector settings and connect again with the box ticked, or ask the owner for a role that can edit content.
A post shows “needs attention”#
Ask the assistant why: it reads the reason from Toolies. Usually the creator’s Instagram account needs reconnecting in Creators, or the plan needs renewing. See Post statuses.
Times are a few hours off#
Tell the assistant your time zone (“I’m in Paris”). Each post keeps the zone it was planned in, and answers include it.
The assistant says there are too many requests#
Wait a minute and ask again. Each connection can make 240 requests per minute.
The assistant can’t import my video link#
The link must be public and served over HTTPS, without a login page in between. For Google Drive or Dropbox, use a direct download link. Files above 100 MB or videos outside the supported formats are refused.
